A unique oral history project by Benetas showcasing the life stories of older Australians. Hidden under a few wrinkles, and therefore often overlooked, older members of our society can have stories of amazing courage, impressive endurance and wonderful humour.
Do we often take the time, and effort, to meaningfully engage with our elders? To listen to them, to share with them, to respect them?
This website offers a range of life stories from older Australians - in the form of filmed interview clips - together with diverse learning and teaching activities for use in subjects such as the Humanities (History) and Civics and Citizenship, as well as suggestions for use in extracurricular areas such as social justice and community engagement.
